SUNRISE | SpaceDome
Dome productions offer impressive visual possibilities, but they also present special challenges. The biggest of these? Telling a compelling story rather than relying purely on visuals. It's about combining the wow effect of the medium with in-depth storytelling - and inspiring the audience in the long term.

A look behind the scenes: How we sent the Swiss ski team into space
When the WWP Group approached us with the exciting task of portraying the Swiss ski team as astronauts and modeling highly realistic characters, our sporting ambition was immediately awakened. But that wasn't all: turning this idea into a captivating story for an impressive production made our developers' hearts beat faster. Creating virtual worlds, giving free rein to our creativity and using the latest technologies - that is the DNA of NEED immersive reality. This is exactly what we were able to prove with this project. One of the first challenges: How do we present our ideas to the implementation team and our client "Sunrise" in advance? After all, the content was to be created for a 16-metre DOME that serves as a spectacular eye-catcher and crowd-puller at ski events. The problem: creating content that is difficult to assess live and precisely estimating proportions and effects is a daunting task for 3D artists. Our solution: We recreated the dome virtually in 3D so that design reviews could be carried out in virtual reality (VR) during the development phase. This approach was crucial to ensure that the final experience would be perfect. VR allowed us to realistically simulate effects and scale and drive production forward in a targeted manner. The result is not only a technically flawless solution, but another example of how VR helps us turn visionary projects into reality.
