INFRASTRUCTURE | virtual reality & public communication
The implementation of major projects that change the infrastructure of countries and municipalities poses a number of challenges. Public communication plays a crucial role here, especially when new hospitals are built, road concepts are revised or residents in communities have to adapt to changes.

Virtual reality as a public communication tool | Province of Styria
The visualization of an entire area and the effects of the construction project on the population of the Enns Valley was a challenging task. Virtual reality has proven to be an ideal communication medium and we are delighted to have successfully implemented the use case.the VR app is currently on display in an information container directly on site in Stainach, Styria. The information container is freely accessible during the day and offers the public the opportunity to experience the project virtually. Providing a VR station without supervisory staff was a particular challenge. Nevertheless, we were able to successfully solve all the associated problems as a team. From navigation in virtual space to remote maintenance, everything was developed and implemented by NEED immersive reality. The simulation and representation of such a large area as a 3D model required all of our expertise in the field of 3D model optimization in order to ensure an appropriate frame rate while maintaining a realistic appearance.
