For the HITACHI Excavator Simulator project, we had the opportunity to work on a very special project: the development of a high-quality landscape for a modern excavator simulator—specifically for the Landcros One system. While many simulations focus primarily on machine physics and functionality, the environment is often neglected. HITACHI has deliberately taken a different approach here. The goal: to create an immersive, visually compelling world that takes the realism of the simulation to a new level.

The goal: to create an immersive, visually compelling world that takes the realism of the simulation to a new level.
Beauty Meets Performance
As specialists in visual design and technical optimization, our task was to develop a landscape that combines two key requirements: futuristic design with a realistic look. We created an environment that deliberately stands out from traditional construction site scenarios. Clean lines, modern structures, and harmonious lighting give the simulator a futuristic character without sacrificing realism. Maximum performance with a stable frame rate
In addition to the visuals, the technical implementation played a decisive role. Through targeted optimizations—from efficient asset design to a well-thought-out scene structure—we were able to ensure consistently high performance. The result is a smooth simulation experience without visual compromises. More than just a backdrop. The landscape we developed is far more than a mere backdrop. It actively contributes to immersion, aids spatial orientation, and reinforces the feeling of actually being part of a real work environment—albeit with an innovative, future-oriented twist. With this project, HITACHI demonstrates how important the environment is for a compelling simulation experience.
